Cabin trip - 2015
We were very excited for our annual visit to Earl Park Lake this year. We rented the same cabin we've been in for the past 2 years, and, now that the boys are older, we decided to stay for 4 nights.
They loved it! Arthur was big enough to go up and down the ladder by himself, and they both enjoyed sleeping in the little twin beds in the loft. We spent the first week of September there, and had a beautiful time! We were essentially the only people renting for the first part of the week, so we pretty much had the lake to ourselves, with the exception of a few day-tripping fishermen.
So we went on some hikes (Elmer called them "expeditions"):
We played at the lake & caught crawfish:
Chris got a little fishing in - sometimes even without his "helpers"!
We dug in the dirt and explored in the woods:
And even survived an exciting hailstorm! Elmer and Arthur loved playing in the hail after it was over:
It's been over two months since we were there, but just this morning Elmer was asking about when we'd go back to "Aspen Cabin" (he thinks all cabins should have a name after staying at the YMCA of the Rockies - so "Aspen Cabin" it is!). We didn't want to come home, and we can't wait to go back again next summer for more adventures!
