Working for zen

When it comes right down to it, it's hard to be discontent on a day like this. The sun has risen by breakfast, I sit at the table with the doors open. The birds twitter like mad outside, the cats sit alert by the door, watching, sniffing, enthralled. My coffee smells divine, and I have freshly-squeezed grapefruit juice from my in-laws' tree and oatmeal with strawberries and honey for breakfast. Afterwards, I hop on my bike to ride to work and it's warm enough that I can ride without a jacket. Soon, I can wear sandals!

Happiness is all a matter of perspective - and recognizing your priorities. When it comes right down to it, I'm happy with 90% of my life. Why should I let that other 10% get me down?
